About the event
Join ceramicist CR Smith to decorate a plate and a mug in time for Valentine's Day or Mother's Day.
Have you got a message for a loved one that you'd like to immortalize in pottery? Would you like to put an acrostic on a plate, or a haiku on a mug?
We'll have ready-made bisque plates available for you to decorate with your poetic messages or images using ready mixed pottery glazes. Carol will be on hand to help with any queries you might have and advise on use of glazes.
Once you've finished with your poetic masterpieces, they will be left to dry, finished with a see-through glaze, then fired in the Nucleus kiln, ready for you to collect before Valentine's Day.
This workshop is suitable for all ages and abilities.
Children aged 13-18 are welcome, accompanied by an adult.
